Inspired by nature, this design is traced from a leaf that fell from one of the massive eucalyptus or 'gum' trees in our back yard. The simple shape allows the beauty of the chosen timber to shine forth, unhindered. The only embellishment is the 'vein' of the leaf, a 1mm x 0.7mm hand-whittled strip of contrasting timber.
